Why is Lauren unique?

Lauren is a Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF), Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP), and a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Practitioner.

Lauren is an educator at heart.  She has a master’s degree in education and infuses effective teaching strategies into her career coaching sessions.  This helps clients experience “ah-ha” moments allowing them to remember and implement what was learned during coaching long after their time with Lauren is over.

Lauren has been there.  She has hated her job (a couple times, actually).  She has felt lost, stuck, and helpless.  She has struggled on interviews, failed to negotiate her salary, and made rookie mistakes with her resume.  These experiences inform her coaching practice and ensure that she will never judge you.

Lastly, prior to working as a career coach, Lauren worked as a track and field and cross-country coach.  Her experience coaching endurance athletes taught her how to support clients when they are struggling, but also provide honest feedback and guidance when they have to work a little harder to achieve their goals.

Lauren is a patient, persistent, and positive coach who tailors her career coaching programs to meet the unique needs of each individual client.  Lauren is honored to be a part of a profession that helps others design meaningful lives, and she would value the opportunity to collaborate with you along your job search journey.

What Lauren doesn’t do.

Lauren is not a therapist, psychologist, or mental health counselor.  She does not conduct therapy or provide mental health support.

Lauren will not promise to get you a specific job at a certain salary.  These achievements can be a fringe benefit of working with Lauren, but she cannot promise these things because only you can achieve your goals.

Lauren does not deal with snakes, spiders, or anything that looks scary and slithers, flies, or crawls.

Interview and Offer Negotiation Coaching Program

LBCC’s interviewing coaching program will increase your confidence going into your next interview. By the end of this program, you will know what parts of your background are the most valuable to talk about, and you will feel comfortable sharing powerful stories about your achievements, skills, and value.  During our sessions we will research your new employer, develop a plan for answering questions, and practice delivering your answers.  We will also cover how to confidently negotiate your offer.

Resume Coaching Client

Lauren was a game changer after my resume consultation with her. I felt I was qualified to do the jobs I was applying for, but I wasn’t getting replies from companies. So I brought Lauren in to help refine my resume to improve its readability and competitiveness for getting through applicant tracking systems. After working with Lauren, I applied to 4 jobs and immediately was asked to do 3 interviews. I’m happy to say I accepted an amazing job offer with one of those companies. My money and time was well spent working with Lauren and would recommend her to any of my friends and colleagues who need a little help putting their best foot forward.”

Working with Lauren during the typically draining and lengthy process of job hunting became enjoyable and a refreshing take on something that can be very mundane. The activities and tasks she assigned were relevant and drove me to increase my professional network while still being able to juggle my daily responsibilities. In the end, by learning to have more transparent conversation about my professional goals, my network has granted me many new options in my career.

Resume Coaching Client

“Lauren was an absolute pleasure to work with. I hadn’t written a resume in over 10 years and she helped me understand the resume world that exists today, how to tailor my resume to each job description, and so much more. I was extremely impressed with the layout of her services, her organization and responsiveness, and most of all, her personable nature – too many resume services I reached out to were like communicating with a robot when Lauren felt like an old friend. I will be recommending her to all of my friends looking for employment!”

Interview Coaching Client

I initially hired Lauren to conduct a mock interview with me, as I began to question myself after a few rejections. She offered suggestions and constructive criticism and has really helped me regain my confidence amidst a difficult job search. She is extremely friendly, reassuring, makes herself very available, and is beyond accommodating. I will continue to use her services as needed without hesitation!
